Hello you ❣️
This week has felt both exciting and slightly terrifying in the best possible way… because Birds by Post has officially launched.
After so many months of planning and working quietly behind the scenes, finally sharing it with the world felt incredibly vulnerable. It is a strange thing, putting something so close to your heart out there for others to see. Equal parts thrilling and nerve-wracking. But I suppose that is often how the things that matter most feel.
I have also been spending time thinking about why I chose eagles as the very first monthly theme, and honestly? There is just something about eagles that has always fascinated me. Their strength, their presence, the way they seem both powerful and graceful at the same time.
Behind the scenes, I have also been having one of those very artist-like internal debates:
should these pieces be painted in oil, or watercolour?
Part of me loves the richness and depth of oils, and how much detail and softness they allow. But there is also something incredibly beautiful about the looseness and spontaneity of watercolour. At the moment, I am still deciding which direction feels most right for this project.
And as if that was not enough pondering for one week, I have also been thinking about applying for an exhibition.
Even writing that down feels a little bold.
But perhaps this season is one for bravery—of trying things before feeling entirely ready.
Outside the studio, spring has begun to properly arrive here, and I cannot help but feel lighter because of it. The birds are louder in the mornings, the air feels softer, and everything seems to be slowly waking up again.
It feels like the right season for new beginnings.
Thank you for being here at the very start of this journey with me.
It truly means the world.
With warmth,
Tine 🕊️
